Description
Shades of Romance Novels! Can't you just see the handsome pirate with golden flowing locks holding his lady love tight to his open shirted chest! Her peasant blouse seductively dipping to one side and her black hair blowing in the wind as the ship rocks back and forth on their way to what ever romantic journey awaits the star crossed lovers in the latest novel? I have always wanted to paint one of these great old ships and had a very difficult time finding reference materials that gave me just the angles I was looking for.I was very relieved when I finally found a couple of pictures that gave me just what I was looking for. This is one of the more difficult paintings I have ever undertaken. I am very pleased with the results and hope you find them as pleasing as I do. I really enjoy trying new things and definitely enjoy trying paintings that offer a new challenge!
